First public blog

So, my name is Daniel A. Jarowoi. In my last year here at MSu and must say that time flys. My experience here at MSU is one of unforgettable magnitude, where i have met some life long friends, established an extensive network on and off campus, I joined my fraternity, and have held multiple executive board positions. I have fulfilled many of my desires here at montclair, and oh yea, partied, alot. I guess it comes with the nature of being in college and in a frat. I always maintained ahead of my studies and the only time i hadn't was the semester i pledged and the semester after. I held a 3.4 prior to joining and now i am stuck in the rat race to get it back up due to my lack of sacrifice at the time in which i needed to do it most. I have come across my fair share of good, bad, and outstanding professors, from ones whom dont speak english to ones who read word for word off powerpoint to ones that make the development of their students a priority through indepth discussions and participation and creating an atmosphere to stimulate the desire to learn.

The biggest lesson of all, which wasnt learned in a classroom, was developed over the years that i spent in college. these lessons and attributes are priceless and would recommend that any student try and acquire them. Political skill, confidence, and the abiity to manage anything are the skills i am referring too. Political skill is ones ability to get people to listen to your way of thinking and follwoing it, dealing with ppl, and getting subordinates or peers to believe in you, this skill will be most important to me as i am positioned as a manager at whatever level. Confidence is the most important attribute of all. With this, one can accomplish anything, with the sense of one being secure with ones ability the possibilities are endles. the energy that confidence gives off and brings back is trmendous and one will notice the brighter days that come along with the ability to spark conversations with random people, participate in class. my ability to project this and use it actively has opened up the door for possibilites i wouldve have never imagined. many came from random conversations with people. finally the ability to manage, manage anything, this is a skill that i acquired by being in voved with completly different organizations of the spectrum and participating in many different groups. ofcourse some knowledge of what managing is and different theories on how it is used most effective were ofcourse learned through readings in classes pertaining to managment. I mixed my basic managing classes knowledge with that of course like organizational behavior, human resources, and psychology. it sounds odd but from these classes i came out with my biggest advantage, an understanding of why people act certain ways, how to compatibly adjust your managing skill to their personality, and knowing what motivates them, and what the common ground is.

This is my first personal blog that i have posted to the public.
